Runs in the rain are great.

In my experience, the 500 mile mark is only a general guideline as to when to replace shoes; as long as they feel good and are providing enough cushion/support where you need it, keep wearing them. I like to run shoes out to 700 or 800 miles, because as the cushioning wears out, your feet get stronger and stronger (and I'm too cheap to by shoes every 500 miles...)

Also glad to see your tendon pain is almost gone.

Solid running...

Happy 500 Mile-versary!!! And i can't think of a better way to celebrate than to run a race wearing a headband that says "I love Argentina"!!! :)

Nevels, thanks. I'll remember the feet getting stronger part, need that one.

Lucia, there you are. I thought you were so busy painting your headband with the mexican flag that you didn't have any more time to blog.

=)

Good work on passing 500 miles :)

I find by not wearing the same pair of shoes every day (alternating them) they generally last longer as it gives them more time for the cushinoning to recover.

Arrhh the Vomeros I love mine, need to order some more, I still wear them once a week, as they are well worn but got me round my marathon and half marathon. happy days

Chris, thanks. I've been alternating my shoes: 2 days Cumulus, 2 days 2140, 1 day supernova, 1 day vomero.

Sam, yeah, love mine too. Maybe I should buy myself another pair? Will they be as comfortable? ...
