Just a thought: It might be worth while to use tomorrow's run as a "test run" for the foot (i.e. only go 7 or 10k tomorrow to test the foot out) and see how it feels the morning after.

Good point, thanks John.

Also, a group of friends is getting together this saturday for a run (about 15k); would really like to go, but should I? Something like altitude training ...

Glad the foot is better! Hope it stays well! 15K sounds cool as long as you keep the pace easy and your foot/ankle are still okay.

I agree. If tomorrow's "test run" goes well, then press on with training as usual. The 15k with friends would be a great way to get back into the rhythm.

And I'm jealous of the altitude training...

I'm jealous of the altitude too, there is no such thing as altitude in Kansas..I'm afraid at altitude my poor 1000 foot above sea-level spoiled body would just gasp for air.

1000 feet sounds good to me. My transition-to-the-coastal-plains part of Alabama is only a few hundred feet above sea level. My altitude aptitude is so low that if I jump too high, I get altitude sickness...

Thanks guys, and don't be jealous, we have to drive two hours to get to where we are going to run...

Glad to hear the foot is feeling better.

I am starting to think running is far too dangerous.
