Glad you were able to run with less pain - are your shoes pretty new? My heel pain pretty much went away when I got new shoes a few months ago - I know some people think running barefoot and minimal support is best, but my philosophy (which of course is the right philosophy) is to each their own... and unlike others, I need cushioning... so I need to change my shoes quite often... Anyways - just my two cent. Hope it keeps feeling better!

Hi Lucia, not the ones I wore today, they are the eldest, but I use a gel heel pad on them. Will try with the newest tomorrow and try to feel the difference.

Thanks !!!

Okay. There's a joke about BENGAY that we told when we were kids. We would ask, "What's that stuff you put on your arms?" Out of all the stuff that you could possibly put on your arm, a watch, a jacket, sunblock, somehow the person who answered always knew to say BENGAY. Then we would say, "Oh, you've been gay? For how long?" Very funny for third graders.

So, I'm glad you're both here. Yesterday I was running by the day laborers at the Circle K. I saw some fish stickers on the ground. So naturally I wondered how to say stickers in Spanish. I think we used to say pegatinas in Spain. Is that right?

Hmm... I think we call them "autoadhesivos" o "figuritas autoadhesivas" - check it out, it even has an entry on wikipedia!

http://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autoadhesivo

Similarly, scotch tape would be "cinta adhesiva" (adhesive tape), but we also call it "cinta escoch"

And that was the Spanish lesson of the day!

I see you were already a firecracker in third grade Burt! :)

We call them "calcamonias"...does it help?

From Burt on Fri, Oct 09, 2009 at 19:28:26 from 68.76.197.194

Triquitraques!

If the stickers are there next time I will say, "Alguien quiere unas calcamonias? Quizas algunos autoadhesivos? Son pezes. Son pezes grandes. Son pezones!"

From argentinerocket on Fri, Oct 09, 2009 at 19:49:16 from 74.9.147.114

Calcomanias, por supuesto!

Ummm don't say pezones, Burt or you can get into trouble - totally different meaning! You can say: Pecesotes! That's better...

Maybe that is what he meant....you know Burt ...
