I hear ya---my Anniversary was all of 45 minutes away from my house (saving money for Disneyland and paying for a new car for the teenager!) WISH I was getting a new house though....

But hey, you get to go to Disneyland & get new car. My daughters would trade the house just for the Disneyland part anytime!

By the way, my parents never gave me a car, forget about a new one!

I guess I should rephrase that---we bought a used Kia 2 weeks ago. BUT we still have to pay for it. My husband is a cop, so he does not have his own car (just a state car) so this is just our car #2. My daughter is 4'11" and she was having a very hard time driving my suburban. This "new" car is not hers, just a family car that she can use.

As for Disneyland, saving has been "fun." Every time my kids ask for something, I just ask the, "Do you want to go to Disneyland or not???" They are slowly getting it. I love the place, but a new house would be nice, too! Your new house can be your own Disneyland.

How is the house coming, BTW?
