Its been a while since I updated this, but my short-term running goals are simple: to keep running.

Long term...mmm...hard one, just continue running and having the luck a running races to keep on the edge, every so often.

I agree with Allie, go out with the intention to run but don't be afraid to jump ship if your body says "not today". You may be tired from the increased mileage. You are eating well and getting enough sleep I assume?

I run into the same problem sometimes when I bump up to the really high miles, and I'm with April and Allie: go for it. Pushing through a little fatigue is great mental training in addition to the obvious physical conditioning of running on tired legs. As long as it is all fatigue and "discomfort" as opposed to "pain," you should be good to go.

The problem is that the mind is getting really good in playing tricks with one, the longer I go, the smarter it is into trying to stop me...
